Srivilliputtur Arulmigu Andal Sametha Rangamannar Temple

I’m currently at Srivilliputhur Andal Temple’s gopuram (temple tower), which is featured in the Tamil Nadu government logo/state emblem. This is an iconic 11-storey Rajagopuram of the Srivilliputhur Andal Temple, dedicated to Andal, one of the 12 Alvar saints of South India who was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu.

The logo shows this temple tower along with the Ashoka emblem at the top and the state’s name in Tamil and English. The Srivilliputhur gopuram was chosen for the state emblem as it’s considered one of the finest examples of Dravidian architecture and holds great cultural and religious significance in Tamil Nadu.

On today’s schedule is driving to Dindigul for a family friend’s marriage event, with mom. We’ll be stopping by a temple on the way back. It’s our first time travelling without dad.

Why am I just discovering the Hosting Command Palette feature on WordPress.com? It’s a convenient feature for quick navigation across sites and settings, and is a huge UX improvement for power users like me. I used Turbo Admin in the past, but this native implementation on WordPress.com is nicely done. I’d love to see it land on Core WordPress one day.

It’s contextual too - for example, “Manage general settings..” takes you to the site’s general settings page if you are already on the site dashboard, but if you are on the Dotcom dashboard (Calypso), you’re presented with a list of sites to choose from, following which the jump to the general settings page takes place.
